Our Privacy Policy

Thunderbolt Technologies Pty Ltd is an ethical company and we respect the privacy of everyone we deal with. What this means in practice is the following:

We respect the privacy of all customer communications

Any communications between you and us are as private and confidential as a letter (whatever form those communications may take) and any data we acquire about our customers or potential customers goes nowhere but our own hard drive. We only collect the minimum amount of information we need in order to serve you and we only retain that information for the minimum period required by Australian law. You can contact us at any with complete confidence that your inquiry will be treated seriously, professionally and confidentially.

We respect the privacy of all forms of customer data

In the normal course of our day-to-day work we frequently become privy to highly confidential customer information (such as network passwords, accounting files or similar sensitive materials). However, we're IT professionals and our professional ethics dictate that any such information we may become privy to is held in the strictest confidence between our customers and ourselves. If a customer elects to cease using our services, any information that we may have acquired about that customer's business in the course of performing our services is erased from our files.

We don't spam

Like most people, we're affronted by spam and we don't use it (we refuse to do business with any firm that does). If you subscribe to our newsletter or similar update services, we promise that you'll be emailed very infrequently; that any information we send you will be what we consider genuine news that may be of interest you (eg: new product lines or specials). In addition, you'll be able to unsubscribe at any time by returning any one of our communications with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line. Simple! We also conform to the principles and guidelines laid down in Australia's Spam Act 2003.

We comply with Australian privacy law

We comply - and will always comply - with the Australian Privacy Principles outlined on the Australian Privacy Commissioner's web site. If you ever feel that we've violated your privacy in any way we'd greatly appreciate it if you'd contact us first so that we can look into the matter and remedy any error we may have inadvertently made. But if not, please feel free to lodge your complaint with the Commissioner directly.
